We are a chapter dedicated specifically to children with special needs, based out of the Children's Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center - one of the largest centers of its kind in the United States. The center provides more than 55,000 diagnostic, therapeutic and related services to about 7,500 children and their families annually, while training close to 1,000 professionals each year. The clinic serves children from birth-21 with a range of needs and histories, including developmental and congenital disabilities, traumas and chronic illnesses.

Being grown-up kids, play continues to be a relished home for flights of ideas. As speech language pathologists at the Children’s Evaluation and Rehabilitation Center (CERC) in the Bronx we try to infuse all therapy with opportunities for that sense of wonder when tinkering, problem-solving and all other -ings. The “What ifs” generated make for some of the best adventures, barrier-free for those with special needs. It is beyond exciting to be able to provide our kids with a diving board into the imagined and build upon the magic of possibilities.
